Ms. Emily — Turtles (3/4)

My name is Emily Johnston, and I am so excited to be the teacher for the Turtles class this year! My own family has been part of the Parkview community for several years, first with our son Miles and now with our daughter Posey.

My husband Henry and I have three children—Augie, Miles, and Posey—and we live in the nearby Mapleton Fall Creek neighborhood. I have always loved working with young children, and my passion has only grown since becoming a mother. What I cherish most about the preschool years is the incredible curiosity children possess.

I believe learning should be a joyful, shared experience. I love doing crafts and activities and exploring with kids, who aren't yet tainted by the heaviness of the world, because I think it can also encourage us as adults to reconnect with things that bring us joy instead of focusing on the worries of the day.

I am so excited to get to know all of the Turtles and their families for a fantastic year of learning and discovery!
